24-Hour Delivery

Need practise for my upcoming gig so I stayed in the studio until 11plus p.m last night. It was raining heavily and I braved the cold, took the train home for take my well-deserved rest. By the time I got home and bathed, it was nearing midnight and my stomach was really growling. Wah you can't even imagine how hungry I am!! Nowadays I eat a lot to keep up with all the activities - I eat Bee Hoon for breakfast, Noodles for Lunch & Mixed Rice for Dinner. In my entire life, I never had the habit of eating supper. Simply because I am a more avid fan of Sleeping-Dom than Eating-Dom. I figured once I sleep, I won't even feel that I am hungry.... In short, I am a firm believer that SLEEP will bring me more bliss&happiness than EAT.

Last night was on contrary to my usual belief. I was bordering on the line of having Gastric plus it was raining so heavily that the idea of nice French Fries was really hard to shake off. My litmus test is that if I still feel really hungry after changing the cushion covers and daybed cover, I will order MCDONALDS!!!

So we dialled 6777-3777. After getting our details like our address, they informed us of something really ridiculous - they need 90 Grand Minutes to deliver!! 90 Minutes equal 1.5hours equal to eating into my slepping time equal to a silly system equal to lousier-than-Pizza-Hut equal to us deciding to just go downstairs and grab the meal instead of spending $2 extra for delivery and a ridiculous 90 minutes waiting time.

What were they thinking of?? What is so hard to freaking slap two buns together with a piece of meat in between as compared to having to preparing a pizza? Pizza Hut takes 45minutes the most I think and there is just one Pizza Hut outlet in my vincinity compared to three KIASU macdonalds.... Alamak!! Might as well don't advertise the delivery service, save the advertising cost and produce more discount coupons for all of us even better marketing strategy. What gets me off is that a job is done half-farked... It's like: Don't say we not competitive ok? We also got delivery service, some more it's 24-hour. Complain what?? So what if Pizza Hut can deliver in 45minutes. Our burgers are worth waiting for... All prepared with love and tenderness showered on them sprinkled with a dash of classiness. OMG!!

Investigation

I was assigned a new case of forgery case. The client claimed that she did not sign some of the documents submitted to the company and so I called up the involved party for a interview. However a few days later, my Customer Service Officer emailed me to inform that the client called up to notify us that she was asked by the Complainant (or isit Complainee?) either to retract her complaint or change her statement to say that she had signed those documents but had forgotten!!!

Wah!!!! 其有此理?!!

The very next day, indeed a fax came in from the client to retract her complaint... Haiz!! Attempts to find out more from her by our Customer Service Officer were futile as she declined to reveal much.

天理何在?

Dinner And Dance

My company's Annual Dinner and Dance was just over last night. As usual, I didn't win anything at all in the lucky draw. I guess this is what it means when people say:" What you eat and how much money you have this lifetime is all destined." (In Mandarin direct translation of course). I can't remember the other prizes but the top three prizes:

1ST: $7,500
2ND: $3,500 (I tink or $5,000 I can't recall)
3RD: $2,000

All in cold hard cash!!! Wah wah wah wah wah! The unusual thing is this: Instead of drawing only 3 winners, they draw 6 potential winners. Three of them will get an envelope with the cash stated amount while the other three will be empty envelopes. Now here comes the twist: Each of us them is offered the chance to take $1,000 in turn. This is done not knowing what is inside the envelope. The first round a girl accepted the $1,000. When she opened her envelope, hers was empty. So this means she got something at least. The second round the stake was up to $2,000. So there could be four results if anyone of them accepted: Either the envelope is empty and the person profit $2k: or it could contain the $7,500 and got shortchanged for $5,500, or it could contain $3,500 and got shortchanged for $1,500; or it could contain $2,000 which means the person is not better off or worse off. For this round, a guy accepted the $2,000. And guess what??? His envelope was the top prize with $7,500!!!! Wah, you should see his expression; super banged!!! Anyway, the rest of the results not as high-voltaged as this one, ended up with one person disappointed with an empty envelope out of the six.

And this means another lucky person got drawn for the $7,500. But it's not me..... Why? Why? Why? It was another girl whom I think is really really very lucky lor! Imagine she don't even have to go up and choose what empty or not empty envelope but just got the cash due to other people's misfortune. How lucky can anyone get as compared to her last night?
