Have we abandon our morals or have society evolved in such a way where it is prudish when you are a tradition preacher?
TODAY newspaper has an article on a woman chastising the third party and another defending the third party. Ended with a man proposing that a contract of cohabitation should precede/replace marriage. So if monogamy equals monotomy and the death of romance, what then is the essence of modern-days relationships?
Makes me so scared now.

Random Thoughts... Dreams, Watever.
Morbid Dream last nite. I was running, but don't know running away from what. I turned and saw someone aiming a gun at my direction. I had the vague idea that there were plenty of people around me and then I was shot at the side of my head. Helluva hurt and bleeding profusely and I don't understand how could I still be alive (in the dream). On my way to the hospital, the blood caked around my neck and blouse. The driver asked for $500 and I was thinking: Do I pay this exorbitant amount or do I pay my own life?
Then I woke up! With a paper-cut like scratch on my cheek. About the width of my eye. I spent some time at home thinking how to go to work with my cheek like dat. Luckily it wasn't very obvious. Still no freaking idea what could have caused that scratch....
Work is really hectic today, I had to eat in (which I absolutely detest). I am in turbo mode.. churning out as much words as possible. At the same time, the dateline that management gives sometimes can be so unreasonable!
I really wish to be civil and professional and say that I am really upset, frustrated, blah blah blah. But now I am throwing out all the nice-ties and say that I am FARKING pissed. Only then do I feel better.

8800
Been eyeing this for a while.
My first phone was Nokia 8850, I always have a penchant for silvery metallic-looking phones. So when 8850 fell apart, I was trying to make up my mind over which model should I get and my bro kindly lent me his spare phone meantime. Slightly over a year has passed and I haven't decided yet(of cos still hogging my bro's spare phone)... untill Nokia 8800 came along. Just speaking the numbers on my lips makes me tinger!! Mmmmm, 8800 !! Slight problem is that 8800 costs over a grand ($1398 to be exact), alot of $$$ especially when I am earning pittents now. I was brought up to believe that if I really wanted something, I work for it! When I was young, if I wanted a desktop, I did holiday job to save up for it. I am never a materialistic girl.. I have friends around me who will only go out with men who drive, or men who can spurgle, ..even my brother's girlfriend demanded a LV bag or diamond pendant from him!
Looking back, I have never ever demanded anyone (including my x-boyfriends and my husband) for anything. If I wanted something real bad, I will fork out myself BECOS I strongly believe I can buy it on my own. i do not like the feeling of owe-ing somebody anything... I will feel so damn guilty! When I was doing sales, this is all very easy, I mean what is a grand if it is slightly more than 10% of my monthly income?? But now, $$ is a problem. My initial thought was to save up for it and my Mr Koh actually offered to get it for me a month ago. But then again I refused. Linda was telling me she don't understand why I felt guilty for accepting Mr Koh's offer. I mean, I don't have a problem with life being difficult, I just have a problem if I am made to feel inadequate.
However just this week, something changed my mind.... Wilson told me he had a payrise. Hmm, which means he only need to 'sacrifice' 2 months of his pay increment to get me 8800!! Whoa, life is indeed good to me!

Silent Dating
Got a text from this person who hasn't text me in the last one or two months. He just returned from business trip and wanted to say hello. He is a person whom I met last year during Silent Dating.
Celeste was curious to know what Silent Dating was all about and since I had a big-time argument with Wilson, Celeste managed to persuade me to accompany her.
The origins of Silent Dating: In a pub in another country, there was this single guy and single girl who were strangers. The music was loud and thus difficult to shout or communicate over the music. They started writing messages on scraps of paper to and fro and they ended up having the best 'conversation' ever.....
Okie, when me and Celeste stepped into the restaurant, we didn't really know what to expect. We were grouped into different tables with a mix of gender and rotated at specific interval. The rule of the game was not to speak at all for the next two or three hours and to only communicate via the scraps of paper we had to whoever we fancied. The organisers would then be our messengers by passing the notes if the intended recipient was at another table.
My eyes made a quick sweep ... hmm, nobody looks interesting enough so I started with a note to.... yes u guessed it!!! CELESTE! Halfway through my writing, I received my first note from the guy across me and frankly now that I tried to recall, I cannot really remember what the content was about. The next hour was spent furiously scribbling nonsense and getting confused cos frankly, how many different 'conversations' can you have simultaneously?? My peak was having to permutate my attention between 5 different people, at the same time, and all on different topics! Maybe I was writing about what I do for work with Tom, about what I do for leisure with Dick, about travel ideas with Harry, etc etc. I felt as if there were 5 pots. And I was the chef who only had one pot cover, busy trying to rotate this cover between all the 5 pots and making a mess in the end. Haha!
Second part was Silent Speed Dating, equally stressful cos after 10 minutes, your partner is rotated.
The evening ended with two dinner invites suggested for straight after the event and numerous phone numbers on my desk. I tackfully turned down cos this was getting really exhausting! When it was time we were allowed to speak again, we were all too stunned as we hasn't spoken a word for so long and suddenly didn't know where to start.
Time for me to head back and face the music.... IE Wilson.

Mummy's Girl

I went back to stay at my parents' place tonite. I can see her anguish when she talked to me. It really hard for her to accept that I have moved out. The finality was when she couldn't find my small pillow on the bed. The one I had since I was a baby which I brought along to my new home cos I cannot sleep well without it. My heart broke cos I knew she had spent every day during the last few days opening my almost-empty wardrobe and staring at it for some time. Her tears were just at the edge of brimming outta of her eyes when she told me this.... N I am struggling to keep mine behind my eyes as well.
I am Mummy's girl after all.
Down Under
Finally got the green light for a Brazilian by Wilson with the fact that I have to grow my forest back if he didn't like it.
I was of course nervous since this is my virgin shot at it. But Ailei (who got me into this) was so hyped up that I can't resist. I wondered what has happened to my ex-roomate (Ailei my hostel roomie for 2years) who now seem to embrace everything 'kinky'...hahaha, maybe it motherhood or what. Anyway, I digress.....
Okie, here's what will happen:
1) take off bottoms, lie on bed and the girl will do abit of trimming
2) numbing lotion offered (esp for first-timer)
3) Hot wax applied, then you breathe in and breathe out when the girl rips it off
4) Process continues and you flip over for for the rest of your turf along butt crack.
5) Clean up, get dressed and ready to go
Sounds simple yah? Here's what really happened:
1) Take off bottoms, lie on bed (all the while can hear my heartbeat in my ears) and the girl will do a bit of trimming (start to think what would she think and will she compare with other customers that she has done before)
2) numbing lotion offered which I bravely refused
3) Hot wax applied, then I breathe in and FORGOT to breathe out when the girl makes the first BIG rip-off (OUCH!, and start to pant a little, all the time wondering why I didn't opt for the numbing lotion)
4) Process continues (getting used to the wax & rip-off , wax & rip-off, wax & rip-off motion, feels just like ant bites at worst) and I flip over for the rest of the job
5) Clean up (all the while looking at myself and thinking I look weird) dress up and ready to go.

Hmm, actually this is all very fun, really good clean fun! First time in so many years I can feel the cloth against me and the bonus is that I get damn good oral in exchange for the initial pain and awkwardness. Worth it I must say.
