The One on Shopping (I)

This is taken when we rested halfway and Bernie trying to squeeze all her purchases into one bag... quite a TALL order huh.

Before we begin on our shopping spree proper, we already had a very eventful first day:
1) We were almost pickpocketed without our realisation and only knew when alerted by another Japanese tourist couple
2) We were given counterfeit money as loose change by the cabbie - and we had a crash course by one of the departmental store cashier to differentiate the real from the fake.
3) Our cabbie got into a row with the police - leaving us very afraid in the cab.

As for the details, I'll leave it to Bernie to elaborate on the juicy bits, rite girlie?

Okay, I'll get straight to the point. Shopping is really fabulous with bargaining a huge part of the fun. And Bernie is such an EXPERIENCED booty girl so I end up with a very satisfied pair of boots on her advice, whoa hoo! The rule of the game? Three simple ones:
1) Name the price you want and move on if the negotiation doesn't go through - there'll be others
2) We agreed that if we keep thinking about a particular item, just BUY it. If not, we will end up nagging the hell out of each other
3) Keep the shopping entourage to a maximum of three in a group. If not, we will waste time waiting for each other and most importantly, these three in the group must have similar traits. (those who take a long time to decide are OUT, and those who are selfish are OUT)

We adopt the rest-and-relax style so we didn't end up with a lot of purchases (before you guys start to roll your eyes, we are serious!) We arrived with two half-empty luggages and went home with ONLY five bags, not alot rite? In fact, we only exert 50% of our power, imagine if we execute 100%, wah seh!!!

Finally, just to show-case some of our proud purchases...... Tee Hee!!
